Last week I landed very late at LAX.

Los Angeles is a huge sprawling city and it looks very special at night, like a vast piece of golden earth on fire.

For the first time ever I saw fireworks from above. It was very beautiful.

I did not have a camera to film it, but I found adequate footage on Youtube:
