Tele-Communication is getting more advanced every day. At some point you won’t know the difference between a holo-feel-smell-3d-hangout or someone next to you IRL.

Right now, technology is already advanced enough that many professions can be done remotely.

You’d think that people who could, would move to the countryside or a smaller city. You can work from home over the network, have a bigger house, a garden, live cheaper, enjoy nature. It sounds great?

Yet people still move to cities more and more. Rent and real estate prices in the Really-Big-Mega-Cities keep climbing. It seems people want to be in a small area filled with people. Even if it means living in a tiny overpriced smelly apartment.
